The R49G is an Android-based multimedia terminal with a 7-inch touch screen and a 2M CMOS sensor camera. It supports H.264/H.263 codecs with adaptive bandwidth adjustment. The 7” touch screen offers excellent user experiences such as a high-quality videophone, smooth internet surfing, various Android Apps and daily information.
The cloud-based R49G guard phone can be deployed and maintained on the SmartPlus platform along with Akuvox door phones, indoor monitors, and SmartPlus apps incorporated with the guard phone in community management. With the R49G guard phone, you will be able to build up the connection with door phones, indoor monitors, Smart plus app in terms of making intercom calls, monitoring door phones, and dealing with alarms triggered by the indoor monitors in a community, and receivingSOSmessages. Moreover, R49G allows you to send notifications to the door phones and SmartPlus apps, create your local contact in the devices, and set up monitoring locally.

Connecting Akuvox Smart plus
Akuvox R49 guard phone is connected to the Akuvox innovative plus platform for cloud-based management in terms of guard phone deployment, remote device configuration, device data transmission type, SIP account information, time zone etc. And all these settings will be synchronized to the guard phone, prioritizing over the manual settings you conducted on the device. App for Improving Tenants’ Living Experience
All Akuvox intercom endpoint devices on a connected intercom system (door intercoms, answering panels, IP phones, etc) can be accessed on the App. So, for instance, in the demo video, we can see the Front Door Intercom, Rear Gate Intercom and the Living Room Panel are listed as individual endpoint devices which can be accessed from the smartphone.
Remote Intercom Call Answering and Door Unlocking
Akuvox Smart Plus provides fully-remote video call answering from your smartphone – so if someone visits your home or property while you’re out – you can see and talk to the visitor, wherever you are in the world.

Remote intercom monitoring from your smartphone
SmartPlus will also allow you to use any Akuvox Intercom devices featuring a camera for remote monitoring – and also for direct video calls from smartphone to Akuvox device. For instance, you can video call the family in the living room straight from your smartphone.
Generate PIN & QR Codes for temporary access authentication
In addition, for compatible Akuvox Intercom models (those featuring a keypad or QR scanner) – the SmartPlus App can generate a unique temporary PIN Code or QR Code virtual key which can be sent to other smartphones to allow visitors limited time – or a limited number of using – access. So, for instance, this is ideal for trade visitors to the site, domestic staff or for deliveries, for example, in instances when you may want to allow them one-time-only access or access at an agreed time only.
Contactless Door Entry from your smartphone
And the SmartPlus App also supports contactless authentication methods including Bluetooth and NFC. So, for compatible Akuvox Intercoms, your smartphone can be used to provide convenient, touch-free door entry access credentials – ideal as part of a contactless pathway into the home or workplace in order to help prevent the transmission of viruses and germs.
