Dahua IVS – Intelligent Video Surveillance

IVS stands for Intelligent Video Surveillance analytics, which is the basis of all AI features associated with CCTV devices. The AI menu allows the user to customise and set IVS rules, allowing the device to produce general behavioural analytics and reporting directly from the web user interface. The Intelligent Video Surveillance system provides advanced, accurate video analytics for IP and analog cameras. The IVS engine can track, classify, and analyze the behavior of individuals or groups of objects over a long distance to improve parameter security and monitoring efficiency.

The abandoned/missing function is used to detect if there are people, vehicles, or objects abandoned or missing in some areas of the monitoring scene; it can trigger an alarm when the target object stays or is missing for a period of time that exceeds the desired time.

Scene Change

Scene-adaptive function is used to detect abnormalities in the monitoring scene, such as the blocked camera, movement, intense light change, and more. The intelligence library will compare the original picture and the picture of the camera, which has been blocked or moved, and judge if there is a similarity; it will generate an alarm if there is no match.

DAHUA’s License Plate Recognition cameras automatically capture vehicle license plate images and recognise license plate numbers and letters. • The Face Capture, Perimeter Protection, and IVS functions cannot be used at the same time. Only one Analytics+ or IVS function can be used at a time. In addition, the Smart H.265+ and the Smart H.264+ cannot be used simultaneously with either an Analytics+ or an IVS feature.
• After the smart codec is enabled, the device will stop supporting the third-bit stream, ROI, and smart event detection, and the actual interface will prevail.
